Professional Development

Welcome to Teacher Tech Tips Professional Development. Our philosophy and training programs are below. Feel free to contact us below to book a session and get to know our trainers.

  1. First of all, we believe that Professional Development should be fun and memorable. We’ve all had a teacher that made learning so much fun that we forgot we were learning. PD should be the same way. Being fun takes hard work and we teach others how to work hard to make learning fun!
  2. Secondly, we believe that Professional Development should be relevant and adaptable. With technology changing every year and government mandates being issued yearly (many times in the middle of the year) we have to adapt on the fly. Our training programs can help make that transition to compliance easier.
  3. Last of all, we believe that Professional Development should be sustainable. When it comes to technology so many districts are sold the latest-and-greatest only to have that technology be unusable within a year. It maybe due to a lack of training and support, a misrepresentation of products and services, or a misunderstanding of educational technology integration. We will use whatever resources you have available to get the most bang for your buck. We don’t have a magic wand, but we do have a few “magic tricks” that will solve some of your tech problems. Check out our courses below and get to know our Educational Wizards.

Creative Education vs. Compliant Education

In today’s educational world teachers and administrators are being held “accountable” for our student’s learning. Over time, as educators, we can loose our spark when we get used to following checklists, scripted programs, report guidelines, and mandated standards. This course will show you how to comply with requirements while rising above the constant mandates that find their way to the classroom. Creative Education can fulfill all requirements while giving educators their spark back and keeping students fascinated with their next lesson. As Common Core is rolled out it is imperative that schools make the transition to Creative Education.

Invisible Tech

Too many organizations elevate technology above the content needing to be learned. Some organizations think understanding will take place simply by having technology available. We believe in “Invisible Tech.” Technology is a tool and it should only be used if it enhances learning. In this course we help you plan so that technology becomes invisible to the student—they forget what tool they’re using because they are focused on the content. This course will help you develop a tech philosophy that puts learning at the forefront of every device integration.

It provides a starting point for creative tech projects in the classroom. It will make you a better communicator and it will teach you how to make your students better communicators.

Your students and staff will leave your presentations excited about your content. More importantly, they will remember you and your message.
